A message To Tony Petty from Swansea Jack
Lewis & Petty We will never forget what you've done to us.

----------------------------------------------------
The supporters have become increasingly suspicious that Mike Lewis is actually in complete control/charge of the club?   It's thought that he might have brought in Tony Petty to legally satisfy the 9th floor plc clauses of having to find an investor after 3 months. It doesn't seem as if Petty is running the club.

Mike Lewis is supposed to be an unpaid adviser?  But he is involved in every single decision and control at the club.   The fans are asking if Lewis actually did sign his shares over to Tony Petty?   Here are some clipits from an article by
Phil Sumbler
www.jackarmy.net site ;-

=======================================
Lewis signed his shares (just over 99%) over to Petty.  But did he?  No-one seems to have actually seen the stamp that handed the shares over to Petty so has it been done?

Mike Lewis is retained as an unpaid adviser.  Does unpaid mean having a company car PAID for by the club?

We are hearing more and more rumours that Mike Lewis is involved in a heavier capacity than he would like us to believe, whenever something happens, Lewis is there. Whenever a decision needs to be made, Lewis is there.   I don't know what Lewis has over Petty but surely there must be something there?  Why else would Lewis still be at the club and able to take such an active part in proceedings.  Maybe he sees Swansea City as his personal pension plan and uses his hold over Petty for his own gain?  Who knows.

My questions for Lewis are:-

1. What exactly is your role at Swansea City?
2. Why do you seem to be involved in every decision at the Football Club?
3. Have you proof that your shares were handed over to Tony Petty (i.e. the transfer stamp)
4. If you are an unpaid adviser, then why do you still have a company car?
5. Why are you very active in player transfers?  Are you a registered agent?
6. When Tony Petty confided in people he was ready to walk away, why did you persuade him to stay?

Mike Lewis appears to be ruining Swansea City.

From an interview with Mike Lewis
Tue/18/12/01.

=======================================
MIKE Lewis is aiming to return to the Swansea City payroll in the New Year.

The former club chairman, a hugely unpopular figure with fans, insists he will never leave the city despite admitting to feeling threatened since handing control of Swansea to current chairman Tony Petty in October.

Although he resigned from the board and gave up his £95,000 salary at the time, Lewis has remained a regular at Vetch Field in the last three months.

He continues to have a hand in Swansea's affairs as a full-time advisor to Petty and chief executive John Shuttleworth.

"I'm still around because I was invited by Mr Petty to advise on the Morfa project and to help him understand the business of football. Because of my experience, he has also asked me to look at rejigging the promotions department.

"I can help out at times like this when Tony Petty is in Australia and John Shuttleworth is away in London because a member of his family is ill.

"Many will not believe it, but I'm not on the payroll, though I do still have my company car and phone. But I cannot continue to run on an empty tank. My shoes will be worn out and there'll be holes in my trousers.

"With the Morfa project getting busier in the New Year as we move towards the August 2003 opening date, I'll be looking for some financial reward.

"Contrary to what people are saying, I'm not responsible for player movement or any other football matters. I'm not an important person at the club anymore."

And this is from our latest player to sign to another club,
Mathew Bound
Tue/18/12/01
(must also be how the other players are feeling).

  =======================================
"a move does appeal to me because things are so bad here at the moment. I'm probably better off leaving the Swans."

"At Swansea we're always worried that we're not going to get paid. OK, we've been paid the last couple of months although last month's wages were late going in. To be honest, the club's a bit of joke at the moment.

"It's been one thing after the other. Just when you think you've jumped one hurdle another is put in front of you. It's hard to deal with, especially for the younger players.

"To blame our recent performances on Tony Petty would not be right. But when a club messes you about it can cause a bit of resentment.

"Some of the decisions being made by the people 'upstairs' at this football club at the moment aren't logical and the outlook for the future isn't necessarily all that great if people keep leaving."
