The owners of Swansea
city football club (9th floor) decided to sell up
and left the chairman Mike Lewis in charge, he was handed
over the club for £1 and given £200k to keep it running
and he also inherited the debts of close to £1m.

job and
the reason that it was sold to him, was to find
the best buyer for the club and to
secure it's future (not to make financial
gain for himself or to asset strip/put at risk of
relegation).
A couple of weeks
before Lewis's money was due to run out he planned to sell some of
the top players, but was criticised by the fans
so he decided not to. Lewis was then made
an offer for
the club by Mel Nurse (involved with SCFC for 40+
years) but refused to sell it and told him 'you
would be throwing your money away'.
Shortly after this
Lewis made a statement that he was selling SCFC
to Tony Petty. The fans plus others involved with
the club checked him out only to find that he had
nearly put the Australian football club Brisbane
Strikers out of business and is hated and
despised by their fans for what he did to them
(they nicknamed him the axeman because he loved
to sell players), he
made money out of them and they had to pay £200k
to get rid of him. It was
also found that he has a history of failed
businesses.

Because Mel
Nurse was worried about Tony Petty he asked Lewis
not to sell to him as it would not be good for
the club. Lewis refused to listen to Mel even
though it was clearly the worst possible choice
that he could have made to secure the future of
the club.
As soon as Tony
Petty took over the club he sacked the goalkeeping coach,
the youth team coach, 7 players and he also
reduced the pay of a further 8 players. This
caused an uproar with the fans,
especially as it was known to them
that Petty had no money at all and needed to
desperately sell players quickly to get some in.
His first sale was the clubs best player for 100k
(first offer and against the managers advice)
even though he was worth 400k.
Swansea City fans believe it's all a money
making venture by Mike Lewis and Tony Petty,
Lewis was scared of new owners replacing him and
got hold of Tony Petty because of his past and he
knew Petty was an asset stripper/would sell a lot
of players.
Mel Nurse has since taken Tony Petty to court
because of the way he has been destroying the
club (Mel bought the outstanding debt and then called it in),
the case was to try and get the club put into
liquidation, Tony Petty had to show the judge
proof that he had backers/investors to pay the
staff and players etc.
It looks as if Tony Petty (and Shuttleworth)
actually lied in court about
the investors they said he had and Mel lost the
case
(the Mel consortium had close to £1m to invest).
Petty was told in court that he had to pay the
wages at the end of the month,
but the staff wages could NOT be paid at the end
of the month
(they were eventually paid late)
Petty is now desperate to sell more players and
is killing our club for no other
reason than his own personal gain (another
top player might be on his way).
Where does it end and how can this (what seems
like a fraud) be allowed to happen in this
country. Mike Lewis and Tony Petty (the fans
believe) are out to make money
for themselves from Swansea city football club,
it seems big and it seems illegal.
Also Lewis is not supposed to be working for the club anymore, but
he is still there
everyday and still drives the Jaguar car which is
being leased by the club.
I've heard from an overwhelming number of sources
that Tony Petty has a Jekyll and Hide
character, he can be charming and come across as
very believable but has another
side that you don't want to see, it looks to all
Jacks that he is definitely out for his own end.
So how can this happen in the UK ?
I personally think that this should all be proven
and that these two
charlatans (allegedly) should be brought to
justice and made to pay back
any losses to Swansea City AFC that they might
have caused.
I end with this thought:-
Petty was and never will be an investor to our
club, but this was an actual criteria of ninth
floor
when they sold to Lewis for £1, Mike Lewis has
PUT OUR CLUB AT RISK instead of selling to
Mel Nurse and having proper investment. Lewis
should have been OBLIGED to sell to Nurse
and done his job properly that Ninth floor plc
left (trusted) him to do.
